Dr. Aja (pronounced like Asia) grew up in Western Washington and always knew she wanted to be a vet. She feels very lucky to be able to live and work in such a beautiful place living the dream of helping animals and people through veterinary medicine. 

She graduated from Washington State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and is a graduate of Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic and the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Dr Aja has also spent time in China learning acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

She believes strongly in the power of the body to heal itself.  Using a comprehensive, holistic approach to health and well being means disease can be not only managed but prevented. 

Dr. Aja is dedicated to life long learning and is always looking to learn more and better ways to help support the body to optimize health and well being. She holds advanced certifications in acupuncture, chiropractic, and myofascial trigger point therapy. She’s also a member of numerous professional organizations including American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Association of Rehabilitation Vets, National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.

Community is very important to her and she is a supporter of local 4-H programs as well as being appointed by the governor to serve on the Washington State Veterinary Board of Governors. Her interests outside of veterinary medicine and animals include learning new languages and travel.
